
Client: a large manufacturing holding company.
Problem: Logistics staff work in 1C:KA, while accounting works in 1C:KORP. Before posting entries, accountants had to do extra routine work checking transport operations in the other program.
Task: recognize delivery documents (acceptance certificates, invoices, universal transfer documents), reconcile route amounts within a single corporate system, and enter them into 1C.
Solution: we built and deployed a software robot that:
- recognizes documents received as scans or via electronic document exchange (EDI);
- opens 1C:KA, where logistics staff work, and finds the relevant product delivery;
- reconciles the amount in the document against the 1C:KA system;
- checks document dates — documents outside the reporting period are posted according to parameters set by accounting;
- opens 1C:KORP and posts the document;
- attaches the scanned copy to the 1C ledger entries, so accountants can always view the source document;
- generates reports on its own work.
Built on the Sherpa RPA platform, which has a built-in template engine for marking up and recognizing complex documents from scans and photos. The Sherpa RPA platform goes far beyond typical RPA capabilities and largely delivers the functionality of specialized intelligent document recognition systems.
